Sunrise on Haleakela in the Pacific Rim...

Haleakela is Maui's highest peak.

Sunrise over the summit of Haleakala volcano.

The park also cares for endangered species some of which exist nowhere else.

Took a bike ride down from the peak and out through Haleakela National Park... An easy 1.5 hour coast at about 30 mph - when I let go of the brakes that is!

2 t shirts, one fleece, one Windbreaker, gloves, a snow hat, and a wind suit paired with a smashing helmet that would have made Evil Knievel jealous definitely makes you feel invincible. Most of which were in the backpack by the time we reached the bottom.

Shot photos of each flower down the road. There are too many to show here!

You would be outside too...

Eeek! Spring is here and this is what I see every time I walk out the door. Tomorrow is going to be in the 70's. Love it.

Spring has sprung...

... here in Savannah. Oh yeah - moved shop over to Savannah, Georgia just in case you didn't know. Just in time for St. Patrick's Day and Spring.

Friday walking out the front door (heading to the post with bags of course) hoards of people dressed in green blazers, dress suits, and t shirts were heading into the park. Hoping I had not fallen onto the set of The Wizard of Oz curiosity took over and I followed them.

Best decision made that day - lots of happy people crowding around a fountain enjoying the weather and waiting to simply see the water turn green! Little children lined up in school uniforms squeeled, "It's so cool!" while biting fingernails, tugging on their ears, and twisting side to side as far as their spines would allow. All the while their feet firmly rooted to the ground - per the teachers instructions. Not one strayed from their spot in line.

Not mine, but definitely entertained visions of giving a loud whistle and running down the park to see if he would follow me home --->

Trees are blooming here and this one always has someone photographing it.
