It has long been a goal to make all the bags for Retrofied out of my own fabric designs. I get a little closer everyday!
I love this huge dragonfly print I had to make the road trip bag out of it! My dragonfly print comes in so many colors and this tobacco brown and linen combo is my favorite!
Kind of feel like doing a happy dance every time I look at it. Hope it is a hit with you as well.
And some more of my bag patterns made in my fabrics:
This month the Asheville Museum of Art Store added Retrofied bags as well as some of my pottery. If you are in Asheville stop and check it out! I am so excited.
You can also now find bags at Happenstance Boutique in Rolla, Missouri. Best of luck with your store Frances.
Also, Retrofied will be at Big Crafty this summer. Hope you stop by and check out the bags in person!

New Fabrics... Solo Shows... New Shops... and More
Yikes, been a while so lots to share!
Currently you can see the new bags using my first line of fabrics locally at SPACE Gallery, part of the Cultural Affairs Department here in Savannah.
Artifacts Gallery in Athens, Ohio is now carrying a full line of retrofied handbags. About 15 different fabric options for you.
Locally you can also find bags at Twinkle in Savannah's City Market.
Very cute shop with a mix of local artist's works.

Sweetest Baby Photo Ever!
A very nice customer emailed me the sweetest photo ever:
I had a feeling no one could resist this shot. She blogged a review about the bag set as well: http://www.thedailydean.com/ Maybe I need to rethink the photos in the listing!
Over the past three years people have emailed me many photos of their bags loaded with goodies, on trips, heading to class... I think a baby in a bag is the sweetest one yet!

Backpacks with a Purpose
Recently a really sweet customer approached me about making a backpack for her - a cute one with a purpose - to hold a feeding tube. Something I lacked any knowledge of.
With some (ok - alot!) of help and feedcack from Emily this back pack is the perfect place for a feeding pump. With the addition of a claw hook on the inside flap, a zippered pocket inside for meds, and an exiting hole on the back right side of the bag this little back pack is functional and cute!
Here is here write up in the Oley Foundation Newsletter for Nov/Dec 2010:

Aaawwwwwww!
This photo from ericabarracaphtography.com deserves the biggest Aaawwwwwwww ever!
It is so sweet! This is the 6 pocket reversible diaper bag in Joel Dewberry Chestnut branches in eggplant. Perfect for any baby - and especially the furry ones!
Thank you Kelly for sending it to me and your cousin for allowing me to post it here. Very cool shot.
